Temuco is a city that is characterized by variety of ethnic population. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery like Ñielon and Conún Huenu hills. It is located at 667 kilometers to the south of Santiago.
Just at 80 kilometers from the city we have the Pacific Ocean and to the East the Cordillera de los Andes.
Given its geographical position, Temuco remains the gateway to the territories of the lake area, the main business center of the region.
The range of services offered by the city is designed to receive both domestic and international investment, counting today with a population of over 260 thousand inhabitants, who with their effort and hard work have built Temuco and is still growing. |

| Temuco is located 680 km from Santiago and is the capital city of the Region of La Araucania. From the Hi Way "Ruta 5 Sur" take the exit in the Kilometer 680. |

RAILWAY MUSEUM of Pablo Neruda
Part of the history of our city and the region is found in this museum, inspired by Pablo Neruda Nobel reflecting what it was the last rail hub of Temuco. Actually, he was the son of a railway man from the Maestranza of Temuco.

Barros Arana Avenue, between Valparaiso and Bascuñan. Opening hours: Continuous schedule from 9am to 6 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. Closed on Mondays.
MUNICIPAL MARKET
The pride for “temuquenses” is the Municipal Market, complex which lodges 165 artisans and merchants of the city, and since April 1929 it has become a must-see attraction for tourists who enjoy the area all year long, in summer as in winter.

From October to March: Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm. Sundays and holidays from 8am to 3 pm.
From April to September: Monday through Saturday from 8am to 6 pm. Sundays and holidays from 8am to 3 pm.
ARAUCANIAN REGIONAL MUSEUM
Located in Avenida Germany reaching numeration 084, the Museo Regional de La Araucanía has a complete sample of Mapuche culture and European settlement, plus maps and the foundation of our city. |
