· DESCRIPTION
Santiago “del Nuevo Extremo” was founded on February 14, 1541 in the Mapocho River valley at the foot of Cerro Santa Lucia, by Don Pedro de Valdivia. The layout of the city that continues to this day, was conducted by the conqueror.
Although Santiago was about to disappear by the Indian attack, an earthquake and a series of floods, the city began to fill quickly. PLAZA DE ARMAS

CENTRAL MARKET

Galvanized iron structure was prefabricated in England and assembled in Santiago. It is one of the best places to taste the typical Chilean cuisine, especially from the seafood.

TEATRO MUNICIPAL
The “Teatro Municipal” Municipal Theater of Santiago belongs to the Municipality of Santiago. It was opened on 17 September 1857, with the opera Ernani, G. Verdi. THE ALHAMBRA PALACE

ART FILMS IN ALAMEDA
